LETTER
OF CREDIT
Export Letter of Credit

Import Letter of Credit
Proper preparation and notification of letters of credit, including
prompt delivery of documents, protect you while complying with your
customer's needs.
Standby Letter of Credit
There are many uses for a standby letter of credit. The most common
uses are bid and performance bonds.
FOREIGN
EXCHANGE
Exporters and importers may want to benefit from the utilization of
foreign currencies in a transaction. Bank of Arkansas maintains foreign
correspondents in countries worldwide which provide quick and efficient
delivery of actual currency, travelers cheques, drafts or wired funds.
COLLECTIONS
Bank of Arkansas has the ability to collect checks written on foreign
banks, either in foreign funds or U.S. funds. We can also assist you
with documentary and clean collections, as an alternative to sales
made on open account, or backed by L/Cs.
INTERNATIONAL TRADE FINANCE
Banker's Acceptance
Bank of Arkansas handles this type of negotiable time draft drawn
on and accepted by Bank of Arkansas to finance the shipment or storage
of goods. Banker's Acceptances finance both exports and imports for
a future maturity date. Time drafts can be discounted and paid to
the beneficiary on an "at sight" basis.
Working Capital Programs
Pre-shipment working capital
Labor, materials, services and allocated factory overhead for exports
is available through Bank of Arkansas. Bank of Arkansas offers export trade financing
through the support of programs with the U.S. Small Business Administration,
and the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. (Ex-Im Bank).
Post-shipment
Offering terms to a foreign buyer often provides the competitive edge
for exporting companies. Bank of Arkansas offers account receivable
financing for foreign accounts secured through export credit insurance
of the Export Import Bank of the United States. Short term financing
is available for consumable products and capital goods for terms up
to a year. Bank of Arkansas provides attractive advance rates up to
95% of the receivable. Competitive rates and terms are available.
